Center Republike Slovenije za poklicno izobraževanje (CPI), the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training is the central national institution in the field of vocational education and training. It was founded in 1995 by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (The Ministry of Education and Sports, The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs); its co-founders were the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Chamber of Crafts and Entrepreneurship of Slovenia. It is responsible for linking social partners, and provides support in developmental, research, implementing and systemic processes that contribute to the quality of vocational education and training for the citizens of Slovenia in the context of lifelong learning.
